Why and how to register

Suweco On-line service is a system which offers services common for internet shopping and also all possibilities and advantages of access to information sources in paper and electronic version. SUWECO ON-LINE SERVICE can be used even without registration but not all facilities are available. If we register you, you will be able to use all facilities and advantages of Suweco Customer service.

Registration if fully secured and all datas are safe. Personal datas of customers are used only for intentions which they were received for (orders executions, claims procedures, on-line titles accesses, etc.). Personal datas are not given to anybody apart from the shipping address (given either to publishers or to Czech post).

You can register in two levels. The non-registered user is automatically on level GUEST. The registration in level CLIENT offers the satisfactory level of rights for common work in our system and provides the access to web sites personalisation, orders and claim procedures. The level ADMIN provides access to business datas and applications, such as the invoices details, orders states, distribution states.

Autorization CLIENT is made with use of cookies or it is made automatically with use of IP address and generally it is not necessary to write the IP again when re-visiting our web sites.

The registration is available on each page of web sites and it is placed always in the right upper corner. The login bar is placed in the same part of screen. Also the information about IP address and level of rights (CLIENT / ADMIN) is placed next to the registration bar and it is displayed as a red text in a blue bar:

How to be well versed in our web sites

SUWECO ONLINE SERVIS was created to be simple, clearly organised and comprehensible.

The basic orientation points of our web sites are two operating panels which are placed at all pages of our web sites.

Horizontal blue bar placed in the top part of the screen contains the basic information about Suweco, such as Contacts, Business terms, Site map, Help and quick access to your shopping cart.

Vertical blue table placed in the left part of the screen contains the links to particular services.

How to find and order the requested title

1. Title search

Periodicals

To select titles and to specify the details of requested titles please use the Catalogue of periodicals of Suweco, which can be viewed according to various aspects:

In case you do not find the requested periodical in our Catalogue but you know the needful information, such as title name, ISSN, publishing country, possibly the publisher, add your request to the shopping cart by clicking the “individual order of periodicals” link in the text below the order form:

Books

For book selection the catalogue of the worldwide publishing houses can be used. After selection of specifications of the details of request, please go to Individual order form:

On-line titles

To select titles and verify the datas of on-line titles, which are included in licence consortium agreement, please use the Catalogue of consortium titles.. The order itself must be recorded in Form for individual order:

2. Shopping cart

Then, after titles selection you can access the shopping cart by clicking the “Add to shopping cart” button. The order details (such as number of copies, way of delivery, term of subscription etc.) can be edited after clicking the “Complete the order” button. You can also mark whether is it a binding order or a request for price calculation.:

1. Periodicals

All payments for Czech and foreign periodicals in printed and also in electronic version must be made in advance in order to keep the publishers' conditions. In case that the current subscription rate is not known yet in time we receive an order and the subscriber accepts the receipt and payment of additional invoices once the price is known, we charge the last known price with a slight increase. In case we already know the current subscription rate we charge this price without any additional invoices.

The price for each particular subscriber also depends on the actual rate of exchange of the currency stated on the publisher's invoice and on the rate of exchange of the currency in which we invoice to each customer.

The prices stated in Catalogue of periodicals of Suweco are based on the last information given by the publishers (so called "Catalogue prices") and on the actual exchange rate. Prices present the rates for direct deliveries and do not include VAT.

2. Books

Payments for books depend on conditions of publishers who can require the payments in advance or when the book is delivered. The invoiced price depends on a level of offered discounts for distributors. In some cases the price can be lower or equal to the publishers' prices. The postage depends on weight of the book and on the country where is book being sent from and to.

3. On-line titles

There are the same payment conditions for on-line titles as for periodicals. Please see above.

Discounts

The discounts are offered individually. The following discounts can be discussed:

• quantity discounts and discounts according to the content of the order
• long-term subscriptions

The discounts can be obtained by the following options:

• The discounts will be deducted from the invoiced price.
• Selection of other titles in price equal to discount

Ways of deliveries of ordered titles

1. Direct delivery from foreign publishers to shipping address of subscriber

Suweco manages all administration connected with order execution and payments to publishers. The title is delivered directly to shipping address given by the subscriber. The claim procedure is being proceeded on customers' requests. The claim can be send via Claims form and it will be immediately dealt with.The claims states can be watched on our web sites. Please do note that most of the publishers accept claims within 3 months after the publishing date only, not longer. The advantage of this way of delivery is slightly lower price, especially the shipping fee and the shipping costs from our Distribution centre to the shipping address are not included. The disadvantage can be fact that each customer is responsible for checking the completeness of delivery and quality of issues.

2. On-line titles

Suweco manages all administration connected with order execution and payments to publishers. The client's accesses to on-line titles are provided by Suweco workers on the basis of technical parameters given by the publisher. In most cases the communication between the publisher and subscriber is not needed. The claim procedure is being proceeded on customers' requests. The claim can be send via Claims form and it will be immediately dealt with.

3. Deliveries via Distribution centre of Suweco

Suweco guarantees the order execution and payment to the publishers. All issues are being sent to our Distribution centre where they are being check, registered and re-sent to shipping address of a subscriber. All missing or damaged issues are immediately reported to the publisher and to the subscriber. The Claim procedure can be watched on our web sites in system of electronic claims. The issues will be sent to shipping address of the subscriber or possibly to other given address.

Customer centre can be found in the vertical blue bar placed in the left part of the screen. The list of facilities of Customer service will unroll after clicking the “Customer service” link. All basic information about orders and price calculations will be displayed on the screen:

After you ticked the claimed title, please click the “Add to claim cart” button, which is placed below the list.:

5. On-line titles activation

This page is specialised in titles with on-line versions – new activations, renewals and claims (e. g. change or IP address, non-functional access etc.). The list of subscribed titles with on-line versions will also appear in the lower part of the form and can be also used for activation:

Overviews, listings

Each customer automatically obtain the access to overviews of his activated electronic titles. Before you actually start to search in these overviews, please note that there is a significant difference between the List of subscribed titles with on-line version and List of available on-line titles (list of all electronic titles available for you), which you can access as a result of individual subscription or as a result of consortium membership. The conditions of searching are confirmed upon the licence agreements of particular consortiums.

Suweco furnishes or administrates national consortiums and also the specialised consortiums and provides large amount of detailed information for current and potential users of available electronic information sources. :
